Boy band TVXQ's new Japanese single has debuted at No. 2 on Japan's prestigious Oricon daily chart.
The news came through data released on Oricon's official website on Thursday, while also showing that TVXQ's single "Superstar" sold over 75,687 copies in a day of going on sale.
The single, released in three formats, currently also ranks fifth on Tower Records Japan's online sales chart, second on Amazon Japan's sales chart and third on HMV Japan's comprehensive sales chart.
Their last release in Japan was the repackaged version of "Why (Keep Your Head Down)," based on their latest album of the same name, in March.
The original version of the record, released in the country in late January, had placed first on Oricon's weekly chart at the time and sold over 250,000 copies to achieve platinum status.
Currently in Japan, the duo formed of Max Changmin and U-Know Yunho will appear on Asahi TV's "Music Station" tomorrow and NHK's "Music Japan" on Sunday to promote their new release.
